Daily Market Brief

Daily Market Summary with Advanced Market Context

Be ready before the open. Know the market regime, the levels dealers are hedging around, and the conditions that matter today and this week, for intraday and swing trading. Three scenarios, each with the price that invalidates it.

Most market recaps tell you what already happened. The TaipTrade daily market brief is written for the session ahead. Before the open it pulls the current options positioning for SPX, SPY and QQQ, computes the gamma flip, call wall, put wall and volatility trigger from real GEX data, checks futures, rates, crude, gold and the dollar, and reads the day's calendar. Then it writes a brief a trader can act on: regime, bias, levels with distance from spot, scenarios, and the exact price that proves the read wrong.

What arrives in every edition

Each edition is one page, same layout every day, so you learn where to look. AM editions publish before the open; PM editions close the day; a weekly edition frames the week. Every edition is archived, so you can go back and check what the brief said against what printed.

Why levels from dealer positioning

Moving averages and pivots describe price. Gamma levels describe the hedging that dealers must do at each price. When dealers are long gamma, their hedging leans against moves and ranges tend to hold; when they are short gamma, hedging chases moves and ranges tend to break. The gamma flip marks the line between those two worlds. The call wall and put wall mark where the largest concentrations of hedging sit.

TaipTrade computes those levels from the live options chain rather than copying them from a chat room, and the brief says how far spot is from each one. A level 0.3 percent away and a level 2 percent away call for different plans. The brief makes that distance visible instead of leaving it to mental math at 9:29.

What you can do with it

The brief is a pre-market checklist, not a trade recommendation. Traders use it to frame the day in five minutes and then hold themselves to the frame.

Example read: "Negative gamma below the 7,711.51 flip. Rallies into the 7,700–7,705 cluster have met dealer resistance. A reclaim of 7,711.51 cancels the bearish read. Below the 7,694.89 volatility trigger, ranges tend to widen."

How the brief is produced

A research agent runs on a schedule in the cloud. It reads TaipTrade's market context — GEX snapshots computed from licensed options data, daily bars, the prior edition — plus structured sources for futures, Treasury yields, commodities and the economic calendar. It writes the edition to a fixed schema, the schema is validated, and the edition is published with a content hash so the same brief is never published twice. Nothing in the levels is estimated: if a value is not in the data, it is not in the brief.

The result is a brief that reads like a trader wrote it and is audited like a machine produced it. The regime, the levels and the scenarios trace back to numbers you can inspect.

Daily market brief versus a market recap

A recap is a news product: what moved, who said what, closing prices. Useful for context, useless as a plan. The brief is built for the next session.

Who it is for

Index and single-name traders who plan the day before it starts: 0DTE and short-dated options traders who need the walls and the flip; swing traders who want the 1–3 day posture; longer-term investors who want a calm read on whether the regime favours adding or waiting.

Not for traders looking for a buy or sell alert. The brief states conditions and levels. The decision, the size and the exit stay with you.

FAQ

When is the daily market brief published?
AM editions publish before the US equity open, PM editions after the close, and a weekly edition frames the week ahead. Every edition is archived and reachable from the Previous briefs menu.
Which symbols does the brief cover?
The written brief covers SPX, SPY and QQQ. The Key Levels row can show any symbol in the shared level universe, including IWM and large-cap single names, and you choose which symbols and which levels appear in Settings.
Where do the levels come from?
From gamma exposure computed on the current options chain using licensed market data. Gamma flip, call wall, put wall, volatility trigger, max pain, key gamma strike and hedge pivot are all derived from that chain, not copied from a newsletter.
Is the brief a signal service?
No. It describes the regime, the levels and the scenarios, and names what would invalidate each. It never tells you to buy or sell and never places a trade.
Can I ask questions about a specific edition?
Yes. Ask Claire about this brief answers with the edition's own levels and scenarios as its grounding, so the answer refers to the numbers on the page.
Which plans include it?
The Market Brief is included in every plan, starting with Journal. Current prices and the trial are on the pricing page. Live Key Levels for additional symbols depend on your plan's market-data access.
